The Society for Bio-resource and Stress Management is a multifaceted platform with the professionals from various field of research. The platform is providing suitable forum for exchange of ideas, encouraging research and disseminating knowledge to the farmers. We are closely working with the farmers, scientists in a team. The Society organizes biennial International Conferences. Our coordinated team helps villagers, women to train them and build them, make them capable to drive out the livelihood initiatives programme.

About the Founder
Dr. Ratikanta Maiti PhD, DSc Dr. R.K. Maiti, Ph.D., D.Sc., was a renowned Botanist of international repute with specialization in Crop physiology and Botany. He worked for nine years as a senor botanist in Jute Agricultural Research Institute, Barrackpore (I.C.A.R.), West Bengal, India and for 10 years as a senior plant physiologist at International Crop Research Institute for semiarid tropics (ICRISAT), Patancheru, Hyderabad, India. The he worked as senior professor and senior research scientist in (CONNACYT), for 18 years and in two universities of MEXICO for 20 years. Recently, he is working as Visiting research scientist in Forest Science Faculty, UANL, Mexico on “Autoecology and Ecophysiology of woody plant species at Linares, Northeast Mexico”. He also worked on medicinal plants used traditionally in Mexico. He established an international network of researchers working on bioresource and stress management. He is chief editor of three international journals, International Journal of Bioresource and Stress Management, International Journal of Economic Plants, and Chronicle of Bioresource Management. He published more than 450 research papers and 42 books. He guided more than 70 thesis including bachelor’s, masters and doctorate levels. He received several international awards such as International Scientist Award offered by IBC, Cambridge and Ethanobotanist Award-2003 sponsored by Friends University, U.S.A. and U.N.D.P. and gold medal for India 2008 offered ABI. Recently, in 2016, he is the editor of three books published by International Publishers, viz., Autoecology and Ecophysiology of Woody Shrubs and Trees, John Wiley and Sons, Applied Biology of Woody plants, American Academic Press, Bioresource and Stress Management, Springer.
